Do you have a great idea for an exhibition? Are you looking for a centrally located gallery to show your work? Do you have a group show ready but just need the space? We want to hear from you. Studio One Toi Tū welcomes innovative approaches to creative practice and offers opportunities for you to be a part of our diverse exhibition programme in 2027. The four ground floor galleries and Sidewalk Gallery can accommodate various visual art practices and are available for hire through the annual call for proposals opening on Mon 1 June and closing midnight on Sun 28 June. The Nine Whetū by Sara Moana (Ngāti Tamaoho, Tainui) is a playful series illustrating each of the nine stars celebrated during Matariki. A whimsical, witty approach that explores both the interwoven, collective significance of Matariki in Aotearoa, and the plentiful ways in which each star helps navigate our lives during a time of reflection, whanaungatanga and well-being as we look above.
